"Chloe's help has been highly valuable, and has allowed me to make improvements and reduce some gut symptoms. To have someone with specific knowledge of conditions such as MCAS and POTS has been very reassuring, as is her professionalism in recognising these conditions and taking them seriously. Her support has helped me reduce some of my anxieties around food, and to eat a better and more varied diet. She always listened and addressed any questions or concerns I had. I would highly recommend her."

What is MCAS?

Mast Cell Activation Syndrome occurs when your body’s mast cells become inappropriately activated. This can lead to whole-body symptoms that vary widely from person to person, making it incredibly challenging to manage.

Common symptoms include:

  • Flushing, swelling, or hives.
  • Gastrointestinal issues such as bloating or diarrhoea.
  • Brain fog, migraines, or fatigue.
  • Reactions to certain foods, environmental triggers, or stress.

There’s no “one-size-fits-all” approach to managing diet and MCAS, but identifying your unique triggers and building a personalised dietary plan can provide relief.

Co-morbidities/overlapping conditions include: PoTS, ME/CFS, hEDS and hypermobility spectrum disorders, long COVID, and fibromyalgia.

FAQs for MCAS

Do I need a confirmed diagnosis of MCAS to work with you?

No, you don’t need a formal diagnosis. Many of my clients suspect they have MCAS or are newly diagnosed. I’ll help you explore your symptoms, triggers, and dietary needs to create a personalised plan.

Can you diagnose and medically treat MCAS?

I am unable to diagnose MCAS or prescribe medications, however if MCAS is suspected I can either write to your GP with your consent or signpost to private Doctors for medical support.

Will I need to follow a highly restrictive diet?

Not at all. My approach focuses on identifying your personal triggers while keeping your diet as varied as possible. Together, we’ll find practical ways to manage symptoms without unnecessary restrictions.

Can I work with you if I’m already seeing other health professionals?

Yes! I often collaborate with doctors, consultants, and other specialists to ensure you’re getting comprehensive care. I can even provide letters to your GP or other healthcare providers if needed.

How quickly will I see results?

Every person is different, but many of my clients notice improvements within a few weeks of implementing their action plan. I’ll work with you to track progress and adapt as needed.

What if my symptoms are very complex?

I specialise in complex cases. No matter how complicated your symptoms may seem, we’ll work together to find solutions.

I’m happy to work with those with co-morbidities/overlapping conditions, e.g. PoTS, ME/CFS, hEDS and hypermobility spectrum disorders, long COVID, and fibromyalgia.
